We are looking for a part-time content writer to join our team and enrich our websites with new contents relating to articles, blogs, case studies, social media posts and marketing copy.

  • Research and write editorial/marketing collateral optimised for website
  • Edit and proofread all collateral ensuring both grammatical and technical accuracy
  • Maintain awareness of trending technology

If you are a creative content writer who can produce engaging online contents and have an eye for quality and detail – we would like to meet you.

Feel free to share samples of your work or portfolio, along with your application. Ultimately, you will deliver quality writing pieces that appeal to our audiences, attract customers and boost awareness.

  • Research for the development of industry-related topics, editorial/marketing collateral including blogs, case studies and thought leadership articles
  • Write accurate copy by working with the management and technical experts
  • Write an engaging marketing copy to promote our products and services
  • Write thought-provoking articles relevant to industry changes/developments/trends as led by SEO initiatives
  • Prepare well-structured drafts, proofread and edit blog posts before publication
  • Promote content on social media where necessary
  • Identify customer needs and gaps in our content and recommend new topics
  • Ensure all-around consistency (style, fonts, images, and tone)

Degree or equivalent in language(s), journalism or communications

  • Experienced in producing high quality, compelling and creative content in a range of engaging formats for digital media
  • Exemplary written communication and presentation skills
  • An up-to-date understanding of SEO best practice
  • Experience working in a predominantly digital B2B environment
  • Responsible, highly creative and resourceful – offering advice and best practices for visual content (e.g. infographics, videos) as well as written.

This is a permanent role with a salary of up to £25,000 (pro rata’d) plus benefits and flexible working. This is a part-time 2 days- 3 days a week position with flexibility on which days of the week are worked.

Junior Web Developer

To develop and manage content for our website which include copy writing as well as design and code for both front-end and back-end. The successful candidate will contribute to our overall website optimisation and SEO strategy.

  • Ability to write content
  • Basic knowledge in HTML, CSS and JavaScript
  • Experience in web design, graphic design and typography
  • Experience in web authoring and building interactive animations and graphics
  • Willingness to learn new skills and frameworks as required

Sales Executive

(Document Management Services)
Location: Central Manchester
Salary: £18k – 25k basic + OTE (40k) first year
Monday to Friday 8:30am – 5:30pm

Pearl Scan Group based in central Manchester with excellent public transport links as well as free car-park facility, is a multi-million pounds enterprise established 15 years ago, to serve a growing scanning and document management market nationally. Privately owned enterprise and has an ambitious growth plan to grow the business at least by 300% by 2020 through diversification, acquisition and increased business development activity.

The Role

As a Sales Executive you will be responsible for the complete sales cycle from initial discussion to closure, representing our company’s portfolio. Although the majority of the time you will be based at the office and dealing with the given leads and accounts, however time to time there will also be a requirement for you to visit local regional clients.
The role would suit someone currently working in a customer focussed role, preferably within a business services or business process outsourcing environment. We are looking for someone ideally who is looking to make a step up from a first sales role with ambition to succeed to a business development role.
Experience of giving customer demonstrations, creating quotation and proposals and a sound technical appreciation of business processes is essential, although training will be provided in this respect.

The Package

Although the salary package will be negotiable dependent on previous experience, initial indication is base salary of between £18k – £25k. On top of this is a rewarding commission structure that brings your first year on target earnings up to £40,000. With an excellent blueprint for progression, you set yourself up to rapidly move into a more senior role based upon your success and earn around 65k per year upon completion of your first year training.

Business Development Manager

(Document Management and Business Solutions)
Location: Manchester
Salary: £30k – 45k + Uncapped OTE (Target Earnings £70k+)

Introduction to the Role:

We are looking to recruit an experienced new business development and bid manager to put a focus on shaping, developing and winning bids in the public and private sector, directly and through partnerships. The successful candidate must be self-motivated, carefully balancing the need to be planned and strategic, with the ability to be creative and spot emerging opportunities in the market.
Pearl Scan Group based in central Manchester with excellent public transport links as well as free car-park facility, is a multi-million pounds enterprise established 12 years ago, to serve a growing scanning and document management market. Privately Owned enterprise and has an ambitious growth plan to grow the business at least by 300%, by 2020 through diversification, acquisition and increased business development activity.
The successful candidate will report directly to the managing director and grow with the business over the next 5 years. Therefore ambition and the ability to operate at all levels.
The role would suite someone currently working as business development manager, bid co-ordinator, author or end to end Sales who has an ambition to move into a more business development role. It is essential that the candidate is willing to develop relationships through networking and cold calls to develop big ticket leads.

Essential Experience/Attributes:
  • Experience of public sector bids and the OJEU process.
  • An appreciation of the bid management lifecycle.
  • Experience of bid writing and basic graphic design.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Understanding organisational decision making processes.
  • The ability to Network at Trade Shows and Local Business Events.
  • A basic appreciation of sub-contracting, partnerships, teaming agreements and licence agreements.
  • Equally able to work as part of a team or individually.
Desirable Experience:
  • Although experience within the scanning and document management market would be desirable, it is not essential.

Document Scanner

We are looking for a bright, enthusiastic and hard-working individual to work in our document scanning bureau.


Duties include document handling, scanning, digitisation, data capture and processing.
For the right candidate there will be an opportunity to progress onto a team leader and supervisory level.
Intermediate IT skills are essential, along with knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and the ability to
learn new systems and software packages.

The applicant must be able to demonstrate good IT and communications skills and be able to work as part of a team as well as independently – full training will be provided.
