Drawings, plans and maps scanning and conversion to digital format Digitisation and conversion to format of your choice TIFF, PDF, JPEG and CAD

Wide format drawings can take up significant amount of space in the office or an archive room due to their sizes and formats. In most cases the drawings are accessed on a regular basis by engineering, maintenance, manufacturing and operational departments and require easy and instant access.

In some instances it might be the case that most of the drawings are redundant or relate to legacy products but are not sorted into what’s required and what can be disposed off. For this reason all drawings are kept in storage which takes up space and in the event of retrieval it can take quite some time to find the relevant drawing.

Regardless of the scenario, the scanning of drawings and storing them in a digital format is always beneficial to any business as it can cut operational costs and improve workflow as well as providing safe storage, instant access and digital sharing capabilities.

Our wide format scanning team have worked with various scenarios over the last 15 years and delivered the most suitable and cost effective solutions to meet each of our clients scanning requirements.

The process begins by understanding your industry, the volumes of drawings, the departments who would need to have access and how often. Initial discussion and a scoping exercise enables us to understand each clients’ requirements, this can be carried out over a telephone or by arranging one of our team members to visit your site for an on-site survey which is free of charge and recommended for large projects.

Once we have established the volumes of drawings, plans or maps etc., and the purpose of digitisation, a quotation is supplied with our recommendations and options for our clients’ consideration.

All project sizes and formats Easy three step process

Depending on the size of your project from few to tens of thousands of drawings, we can supply a quotation upon receiving your enquiry, typically the same day of your request for small size projects or few days for larger volume scanning and conversion requirements which may involve our free of charge site survey for extra piece of mind.

Our three easy steps to scan wide format drawings;

  • Collection of your material
  • Scanning and conversion to digital format
